Parmesan Crusted Fish

Ever consider Red Snapper instead of cod, grouper, or halibut?  I usually order filets from the fishmonger and can eat them with just butter, salt and paprika.  This recipe coats the red snapper filet in parmesan cheese and other spices making this packed with flavor.

I usually ask the fishmonger for the whole fish when I’m making grilled fish.  She takes the extra step to cut the fins and tail, although sometimes I like the tail and find it for presentation’s sake.

I’m a big advocate for using fresh herbs (check out my blog about 10 must use herbs for the greek keto diet) such as parsley; however, in this version, I used dried parsley flakes in order to get a better crust after I mix it with the parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika

  • Baking Pan

  • 4 pieces Red Snapper fish fillets (or any white fish)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 Tbsp. dried parsley

  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tsp. Onion Powder

  • ½ Tsp. Paprika

Preheat your oven to 375 F Degrees.
Rinse your fish and pat dry it well using kitchen paper towels.
Add all your parmesan cheese, dried parsley flakes, garlic powder onion powder, and paprika to the resealable bag and shake. Then add your fish fillets to the bag 1 at a time, and shake, until the fish filet is fully coated.
Lay your fillets on a baking tray (with our without parchment paper). Place in preheated oven.
Bake the fish for about 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness of your fish. Once done remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Enjoy! Bon Appetit! Kali Orexi.

You can use any other kind of fish as well; grouper, halibut, cod, sea bass, or sea bream will all work with this recipe. Serve this type of parmesan-crusted fish hot right out of the oven.
