This is one of those sauces I came up with, after being on Keto for a few years.  From a macronutrient’s perspective, this sauce has minimal but is high in fat and calories for those days that you need to complete your Keto macros.  You will love this sauce because it is quick, thick, rich, and creamy without using any thickeners like egg, or Xanthum Gum.  Just a delicious creamy Feta sauce.

By adding the Feta cheese at the end, you don't allow it to melt, so you can actually taste and feel the cheese with every bite. Don't ever buy crumbled Feta. But whole Feta and crumble it yourself.

  • Saucepan

  • Whisk or Wooden Spoon


  • 2 Tbsp. (approx. 40 grams) Feta cheese, crumbled

  • 2 Tbsp. sour cream

  • 2 Tbsp. Greek yoghurt

  • 2 Tbsp. butter

  • 2 Tbsp. cream cheese

  • 2 Tbsp. dry white wine

  • 2 Tbsp. garlic cloves, finely minced – almost a paste

  • 1 Tsp grated nutmeg

  • 1 Tsp freshly grated or cracked. black pepper

  • 2 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, grated


Combine all ingredients, except the grated Parmesan and Feta Cheese, in a small saucepan, on medium heat.
Using a whisk or wooden spoon, mix well until thoroughly combined.
Reduce to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove from the heat, stir in the crumbled Feta, and immediately serve over your favorite meat or vegetable.

Steam a nice piece of fish or asparagus, or roast a chicken breast, and use this sauce along with your favorite garnish. You can add chopped chives, parsley, or fresh dill fronds.
